Sales Success

Through my time with Ty, my oxygen numbers increased by 47%, and I've since trained two new sales reps who are beginning to grow our territory even more.

In the fall of 2009, I found myself frustrated, burnt out and lost in my territory. I was using the same calling patterns that I had been using for several years selling in the HME industry. It seemed like my best efforts only made matters worse. And I was using the same tactics with my accounts that I had used to build what was a successful territory. I had incorporated many of Ty's suggestions from his Championship Sales Academy workshop into my sales calls, which boosted my numbers and effectiveness in some of my most difficult accounts, but I seemed to have lost touch with what mattered most: my ability to relate to my customers and co-workers.

My employer was generous enough to invest in some private coaching sessions between Ty and myself over several months. While I enjoyed his courses, the one-on-one time to bounce ideas off him was refreshing to say the least. I found out that my approaches weren't really that wrong, they just needed a little polishing in most cases; lots of polishing in a only a few. Ty and I rehearsed numerous sales calls, account by account, detail by detail. Within just a couple calls with Ty, I was targeting my most important accounts with the confidence that I had lost. He is genuine in his concern for seeing you succeed, and a man of high integrity. Being a "Motivator" is only a small part of what he brought to our meetings.

Through my time with Ty, my oxygen numbers increased by 47%, and I've since trained two new sales reps who are beginning to grow our territory even more. I have been able to demonstrate leadership skills to these two new reps that I would have no doubt fallen far short on had I not spent my time with Ty. They have seen me patient when everyone else in the office is crazy, motivate when co-workers are down, and become a positive influence in my office. My co-workers now jokingly refer to me as "Andy after Ty" and "Andy before Ty" depending on my mood. This always brings me right back to where I need to be.
